Who we are and what we do!
DayStay is a ministry of Hominy Baptist Church. We provide a protective environment for those who are not capable of full time independent living. The staff and volunteers at DayStay are on a mission to spread joy and foster connection with our clients. At DayStay stories are shared, friendships are cultivated, and laughter is the main ingredient. Every day is a new adventure waiting to unfold! There are games, crafts, worship services, music, celebrations, and many wonderful activities each week.
Our program provides socialization for active seniors, as well as individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other conditions who cannot be left alone during the day.
We are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We also provide extended care on those days for those who are interested. Please call Kathy Long at 828-665-1575 for more information. We provide a nutritious lunch and activity that includes socialization, brain stimulation, chair exercises, and reality orientation.
Why fit in with the crowd when you can shine like a star? At DayStay, we believe everyone has a unique spark that deserves to be celebrated. Our doors are wide open, inviting you to join the fun, engage in activities, and embrace each day with a joyful spirit.
DayStay gives family members the ability to work, run errands, or simply take a break from the day-to-day care of their loved ones.
